Why the vaccination status is paused

The vaccination status compares a profile's entries with the Swiss vaccination plan and shows, for each disease, which vaccination is due and what is complete. It is part of the ImmuSuisse app but currently hidden.

The reason

An evaluation like this can influence whether someone gets a vaccination or postpones it. In our assessment, software with this function counts as a medical device in Switzerland, and medical devices need evidence that they work reliably and safely. There is no such evidence yet for the vaccination status in ImmuSuisse. That is why we are not showing it.

What remains

Only this one evaluation is paused. Your entries are kept in full, and the rest of the vaccination booklet works as before. You will find the schedule from the Swiss vaccination plan in the reference section and on the page of a disease, provided the plan covers it. It shows, for example, how many doses are planned at which age. Whether a vaccination is right for you is something to discuss with your doctor.

What comes next

We want to offer the vaccination status again once it meets the requirements.

For professional assessment

Anyone who assesses or supports ImmuSuisse professionally can unlock the vaccination status on one device for a limited time. The unlock is meant for assessment and not for advising patients. You get there through the app's settings, under "Vaccination status". We are not issuing unlock codes for private use at the moment.
